Yellow Brick Games is opening an internship opportunity among our team of experienced developers to work on an exciting new fantasy IP (unannounced project). In this role, you will work closely with senior environment artists and will be supporting the production of our game environments. You will be assigned to a specific team for the duration of your internship where you will learn in a practical and pleasant atmosphere.

We’re always on the lookout for talented developers who would be a good fit for our studio. Yellow Brick Games is based in Quebec City, Canada, with an additional office space in Montreal. This internship will require to work on-site only (Montreal or Quebec City office). All qualified applicants will receive consideration for an internship without regard to place of origin, age, status, religious beliefs, personal orientations, or physical condition.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support your team in the day-to-day activities of the development process
  • Lead the projects/tasks assigned to you (report progress, bugs, etc.)
  • Participate in the creation of beautiful and stylized game environments

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently being enrolled in a technical or university program in game development;
  • Artistic skills such as fundamentals of understanding color theory, composition, understanding of ratios and proportions
  • Being able to model and sculpt various types of organic or architectural props;
  • Being able to Unwrap and create optimal clean UVs;
  • Being able to create stylized textures;
  • Have good knowledge of 3DS Max, ZBrush, Substance Designer & Painter, Photoshop;
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine.

EXTRA:

  • Knowledge of Unreal Blueprint:
  • Knowledge of Speedtree
  • Being a team player who is good at communicating ideas and feedback.
  • Not being afraid to ask questions and raise flags when something is not working.

*This internship is remunerated and does not need to be mandatory in the curriculum of your program. Starting date is flexible, between November 2023 and January 2024.
