Yellow Brick Games is hiring a Senior Level Artist to join our team of experienced developers working on an exciting new project. In this role, you’ll use your experience and artistic eye to bring life to a world through designing and creating striking environments. In this role you will work closely with the Art and Level Design team to ensure the environment matches the artistic vision for our games.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Bring life and excitement to our games through design and implementation of striking and memorable environment.
  • Work closely with the art and the level/mission design teams to create inspiring 3D content that visualizes the vision and design of the game.
  • Create stylized 3D models and assemble scenes for both architectural and organic environments with consideration of the narrative and visual storytelling.
  • Produce and iterate on a variety of assets through all phases of production including in-game blockouts, modular kits, organic surfaces, hard-surface models, marketing assets, and more.
  • Be able to think about your art in the service of the world of a new IP to create assets that will enrich player’s experience.
  • Be an active mentor by training and guiding other artists on the team to improve their craft and deliver top-tier quality content.
  • Trouble-shoot levels and maintain them to stay in frame rate, memory, and design spec.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Shipped more than one title in the PC or Console space.
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a props modeler and level artist in game development.
  • Proficient with 3D modeling software like 3Ds Max, Maya, ZBrush Blender, etc.
  • Experience in both hard surface and or organic modeling.
  • Excellent knowledge of lighting, composition, color and environmental design principles.
  • Familiarity with Unreal engine.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills.
  • Self-starting, and actively able to identify problems and own fixes to them.
  • Able to predict and commit to delivering work in a reasonable timeline.
  • Familiarity with agile production methodology.
  • Has a real desire to craft video games with fun, emergent gameplay and the ability to both inspire and create.
  • Can embrace our game development philosophy of putting people first and share their hard-earned expertise to create stunning environment that brings an incredible experience for our players.
